Allpack have won the Footlocker ecommerce corrugated packaging contract as a result of solving supply issues that they were experiencing due to the recent paper shortages.

Footlocker are a leading global athletic footwear and apparel retailer, focusing on the sneaker scene and lifestyle. Q1 of 2021 saw unexpected disruption to the corrugated paper supply chain aggravated by haulage problems, container issues, and timber and deforestation shortages. Allpack firstly set up a comprehensive stock management system, enabling Footlocker to maintain a JIT service but with trading peaks and troughs now fully covered. Once Allpack had been given control of the contract and consistent supply lines were re-established, the Allpack process fulfilment team audited the entire packing operation at the Footlocker Corby DC, and made design improvements to the existing range.

This involved a strengthened crash lock base, modifications to the tamper-evident seal design, better returnable options, and greater recycled content. Consequently Footlocker have reported an increase in parcel output and a significant reduction in pilferage and damages.
